1980 Headway HD-110 Martin Replica Acoustic Guitar w/Hard Case & Documentation Not For Sale
|

This is by far the most rare of acoustic guitars that ever came out of Japan. Headway hand-made their acoustics back
in the early days using only the most choice solid woods and true nitro lacquer finishes. This is the original HD-110, the
one that Headway reissued in more recent years. It is built exactly like the Martin acoustic that it was modeled after, and
I think it is safe to say that it is made as good or better than most of the Martins of this design. The craftsmanship of this
acoustic is ridiculously perfect. There is no truss rod adjuster, which is the way this guitar was designed. It cannot be
adjusted. Scary, but the rod in this is so perfectly-placed, you would never need to adjust it. The action is low and
unmodified in any way. You just have to be careful with instruments of this calibre, but the neck is not something to
worry about in any way and the action is perfect. Solid maple top, solid rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck,
ebony/abalone inlaid fretboard, abalone binding everywhere, this is the pinnacle of vintage Japanese acoustics.
