1970s (pre-ESP) Navigator Les Paul Standard Lawsuit Replica Sorry, this guitar is Not For Sale
|

Most people aren't familiar with pre-ESP Navigator guitars, so I will take a minute to describe the differences between
these and the models introduced after ESP's acquisition of the company. First, pre-ESP Navigator guitars have quite
a custom build to each one; since all were meticulously designed and created from materials that are now rare and
much more expensive than they were then, you get top-of-the-line appointments. For example, on this model, check
out the Brazilian rosewood fretboard and the gorgeous dark abalone inlays. These do not even adorn the modern
$7,000+ Navigators that are made by ESP. This small team of luthiers spent a lot of time and energy creating
instruments that used the best possible materials with ideal balance, weight, the most careful craftsmanship you will
ever see on a guitar. They had no tolerance or room for error, and so each and every instrument that they made
were exquisite. This particular model is a testament to that work ethic. Superior in many ways to other brands.
