1960s Yamaha AE-11 Archtop Jazz Box & Original Yamaha Logo Hard Case $980.00
|

Yamaha's very first archtop! The guys in the studio really love the tone of this guitar. Subtle, but with clarity and
authority if needed. Yamaha must have gotten it right with this one, as it spawned the entire lines of the popular SA
series that continued on through the 1990s. Spruce top with bound f-holes, maple sides, maple back and neck.
It's Yamaha's take on the popular ES design by Gibson. Every time you meet someone who has one of these, they
remark that it is one of their favorites. For me, the neck is a little thin, but that's what they love about these. Very
sturdy and solid, they don't tend to need a lot of TLC like other 1960s guitars. The tuners work great, the action is
great and the tone is balanced. It's a real classic and the oldest Japanese vintage guitar we have. Not sure of the
exact year, but these were only made between 1967-1971. Scale length is 63cm. Floating bridge. 22 Frets. Alnico
magnet pickups (no wonder people love the tone!). Treat yourself to a unique and classic vintage jazz box.
